Every run starts and ends at The Camp — the explorable hub where you prep, restock, and meet the people who keep you alive. Before a single blade is drawn, your choices here matter: who you talk to, what you buy, and who you bring.

This page covers the NPCs and services you’ll find at The Camp. Two are named characters — Dew and Soekja — and the rest are the shops and systems that turn your loot into power.

Dew, the immortal maiden who guides your journey

Dew

Role: Goddess guide · Location: The Camp · Service: Resurrection, story guidance

Dew is the reason you’re standing at all. She’s a fragment of the Fate Goddess, reborn as a mysterious maiden who roams the ruins granting fallen heroes immortal flesh. That immortal flesh is what makes you a Gyldhunter — a dead hero who keeps coming back.

In The Camp, Dew is the goddess who guides your journey and anchors the whole story. She’s the first character you meet when you enter the world, and the lore thread runs straight through her. For the bigger picture on the Fate Goddess and your resurrection, see World & Lore.

Soekja

Role: Boat summoner · Location: The Camp · Service: Sends you into the Gyldenmist

Soekja is your way out the door. Once you’ve prepped, formed a party, and you’re ready to go, you call upon Soekja to summon the boat that carries Gyldhunters into the Gyldenmist.

Simple but essential: no Soekja, no run. He’s the handoff between safe prep and the deadly fog.

Camp Shop & Vendors

Role: Trade · Location: The Camp · Service: Buy gear/consumables, sell loot

The Camp vendors handle your day-to-day economy. Buy common gear and consumables, or sell off excess loot for quick Gyldenblod. The shop’s rarity and storage can be expanded through camp upgrades (the Warehouse), so the longer you invest, the better the stock gets.

This is your baseline gear source between raids. For how the currency works, see Gyldenblod & Farming.

Pip’s Auction House

Role: Player trade · Location: The Camp · Service: Buy and sell crafted gear

Pip’s Auction House unlocks at level 5. Once it’s open, you can buy and sell crafted gear through it — the player-driven side of the economy, separate from the fixed shop.

It’s a mid-game unlock, so don’t expect it on day one. Level up first.

Spirit Blacksmith

Role: Forging · Location: The Camp · Service: Forge and upgrade gear

The Spirit Blacksmith runs the forging system. This is where Gyldenblod and rare materials turn into upgraded gear, rare accessories, and weapons. Forging is a core part of getting stronger between runs, so the Blacksmith is a regular stop.
