June 14, 2026 — Open beta is live (and free on Xbox/PC). The open beta runs June 14–22, 2026 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S — free-to-play on Xbox and PC. It’s a data-wipe test, but cosmetics you earn carry over to launch. Full info on Demo & Beta.

June 2026 — Free on Xbox + Game Pass in July. Xbox confirmed the open beta is free-to-play on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and that Mistfall Hunter joins Xbox Game Pass in July 2026 alongside the full launch. Details on Release Date & Platforms.

Mistfall Hunter launches July 29, 2026. The full release date is confirmed: July 29, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, with crossplay across all three. The game is also part of Steam Next Fest with the new Withered Knight class. See Release Date & Platforms.

Earlier

September 2025 — Beta 3 adds The Camp, new classes, and Chaos mode. Beta 3 introduced The Camp hub as the game’s social safe zone, added female classes and the Blasphemer Seer path, brought in Normal and Chaos difficulty for Solo and Trio, reworked stamina and second wind, and revealed the boss General Harald. TGS 2025 — Solemn Needles map revealed. At Tokyo Game Show 2025, the studio unveiled the Solemn Needles — a bleached, sacred forest map with the Divine Anchor, Hastine’s Fall, the Witchery Woods, and the rising False God threat. Read the Solemn Needles guide.

April 2025 — Beta 2. Beta 2 expanded the playable world with new scenes and areas for players to explore, including the Ember Iris.

October 2024 — Xbox Partner Preview. Mistfall Hunter was introduced as a third-person PvPvE extraction RPG set in a Nordic post-Ragnarok world, kicking off the public road to launch.
